Cryptocurrency trading platform Binance says that Ethereum (ETH) trading on its platform will be free for one month starting from August 26th, 2022.
According to the exchange, its users will be able to trade ETH against the native Binance USD (BUSD) stablecoin for free during the period.
“All users will enjoy zero maker and taker fees for the ETH/BUSD spot trading pair,” the company said in a post.
It added that “ETH/BUSD spot trading pair will be excluded from BNB fee discounts, fee rebates or any other form of fee adjustments or fee promotions.”
The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by volume also cut trading fees to zero for various Bitcoin pairs in July.
The move was linked to the fifth anniversary of the company.
Binance initially dabbled in zero-fee trading in late June with its US-based subsidiary.
It eliminated fees for American traders in an attempt to attract more users and chip away at the market share of Coinbase, which remains the crypto market leader in the US.
Ethereum (ETH) ranks top among the projects with the most development activity in the last 30 days at 401, according to data from blockchain analytics platform Santiment on August 22.
Additionally, with network activity plunging, Ethereum’s transaction fees are now at their lowest level in almost two years, hitting 13 gwei, according to data from Ycharts.
