The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the Speaker of the Ogun state House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo.
He was arrested at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
Although the anti-fraud agency is yet to release a statement on why he was arrested, there are reports that he was nabbed after failing to honour the agency’s invite to answer questions bordering on financial crimes.
Oluomo who was picked up following a tip-off is being grilled at the custody of the EFCC.
He was said to have been on the wanted list of the commission following his failure to honour EFCC invitation several times.
He and some others were accused of forging signatures and financial documents of the assembly.
