Buhari Honours Jonathan, Wike Others With Service Awards

President Muhammadu Buhari presented awards of service to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, and others.

On Friday, the event was held at the State House in Abuja and 44 top Nigerian personalities were given prizes. They included 16 governors across party lines, ministers, and service chiefs.

This award is given to people who have contributed over the years in public service and development. The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation recognises innovation, leadership, and other exceptional achievements.

You have to be a public official or in the private sector in order to qualify for this award.

They need to have great character and be at the forefront of service and innovation.
