Rivers state governor, Nyesome Wike, has backed the second-term ambition of Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, OduNews reports.
Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, disclosed this via his official Twitter handle on Tuesday.
In a terse statement on his page, Akosile said, “Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike endorsed his Lagos State, @jidesanwoolu for 2nd term in office.

Wike’s endorsement of Sanwo-Olu is a big blow to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor.
Wike has been at loggerheads, with the National Leadership of the PDP over his insistence on the resignation of the Party’s Chairman Iyorchia Ayu.
