Five Cameroonians Arrested for Attempted Kidnapping in Adamawa State,

The Adamawa State Police Command announced the arrest of five individuals suspected of attempting to kidnap a resident of Jambutu, Yola-North LGA.

The suspects, who are all believed to be from Cameroon, were apprehended as a result of information provided by a member of the community. The police, working in coordination with the State Intelligence Bureau, were able to design a security plan and successfully intercept the kidnappers before they could carry out their plan.

The Commissioner of Police praised the efforts of the officers involved and encouraged the community to continue to provide information to assist in preventing crime. The police also assured the public that they remain committed to protecting the lives and property of all citizens in the state.

In further detail, the statement from the police command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, stated that the suspects were arrested 20 minutes before they could carry out their planned crime. The suspects were identified as Chubrandom Safinga, 30; Ibrahim Tala, 32; Ngosso Ndjombe, 28; Mmai Rostand, 32; and Nossu Ngambewo Ricky, 27. All individuals were illegal immigrants from the neighboring country of Cameroon.

In the statement, Nguroje emphasized the importance of community involvement in preventing crime, saying that the police were only able to make the arrests thanks to the reliable information provided by a good samaritan. He urged residents to always inform the police of any suspicious activity or the whereabouts of criminals and their accomplices.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Sikiru Akande, praised the efforts of the officers involved in the operation, commending them for their gallantry performance and professional conduct. He also directed them to maintain the same level of diligence and commitment in their efforts to prevent crime in the state.
