Presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, says his administration will make WAEC, NECO and JAMB examinations free if he is elected in 2023.
He stated this in an interview with BBC Hausa monitored by OduNews on Thursday.
In his words, “We listened to people’s complaints, wherever we go, we explain our manifesto and our plans to people, especially on the education sector. We will build 500,000 primary school blocks in four years.
“We will enrol all the 20 million out-of-school children, we have plans to pay WAEC, NECO including JAMB for students and the JAMB result validity period will be lasting four years not that every year students sitting for it if they didn’t get admission.”
Speaking on the failed alliance with Labour Party presidential candidate, Kwankwaso said he refused to withdraw for Peter Obi because he is more experienced than him.
“He (Peter Obi) served as governor only but I have done various jobs; I worked for the government for 17 years, he did not do it, I became the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, he did not do it. I participated in the constitutional conference, he didn’t.
“Apart from these, I was a senator, he didn’t, Even our education, if you look at it, you will understand that It’s not the same,” he said.
