What Chrisland School Has To Say On Sudden Death Of 12-yr-old
Whitney Adeniran dies mystery in Chrisland School

The management of Chrisland Schools has issued a statement regarding the tragic death of one of their students, Whitney Adeniran, which occurred during the school’s inter-house sports activities at Agege Stadium in Lagos State on Thursday, February 9th, 2023.

Mr. Michael Adeniran, Whitney’s father, has called for a probe into her death and has demanded an explanation from Chrisland Schools. The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, has confirmed that the incident was reported to the police immediately and that the case is now under investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department. An autopsy is expected to be conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding Whitney’s death.

In response to the call for justice, Chrisland Schools stated that they are deeply saddened and distressed by Whitney’s passing. They explained that Whitney had opted not to participate in the inter-house sports match due to a previously reported not-too-buoyant health condition. The school informed Whitney’s parents and took her to the nearest medical facility for first aid after she had slumped in public view.

Chrisland Schools has appealed to the Adeniran family to establish a scientific verification of the underlying cause of Whitney’s death before her burial and has notified relevant regulatory stakeholders and agencies to allow for a comprehensive evaluation and assessment. The school has expressed its commitment to supporting the family during this difficult time and has refrained from making any media sensations out of respect for Whitney’s memory and the privacy of her family.

The management and staff of Chrisland Schools express their deepest condolences to Whitney’s family and mourn the loss of their precious student. They maintain their commitment to upholding the sobriety of the moment and pray for the fortitude to bear the family’s painful loss.
