The Hurford Youth Fellowship aims to develop the leadership abilities of young democracy activists worldwide by giving them the opportunity to spend three months at the World Movement’s Secretariat. During this time, they can connect with other democracy activists, exchange experiences, and contribute to the global democracy movement.

Oduala, who is the Project Director for Connect Hub NG, a human rights organization, gained prominence as a leading voice during the 2020 # protests in Nigeria.

Sharing her excitement on Twitter, Oduala wrote, “I’m excited to announce I’m now a Hurford Youth Fellow with the World Movement for Democracy. @MoveDemocracy.”
