The police have arrested Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate in Lagos State, Fredrick Nwajagu, following a video that went viral on social media in which he threatened to invite members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to secure the properties of Igbo people in the state.
Nwajagu stated in the video that IPOB members would be mobilised to protect their shops, and they would be paid for their services. He also called for the Igbo people to get their rights and take a stand in Lagos State.
A police source who preferred anonymity stated that a joint team of policemen and operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) arrested Nwajagu on Saturday morning.
The police and DSS had gone to his palace, but he had fled. He was later traced to a hotel in Ejigbo where he was arrested.
