President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, on Monday, following a trip to France and London. Tinubu’s flight landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, where he was met by a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters.
Traveling alongside his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, the president-elect was greeted at the presidential wing of the airport by party faithful and supporters who had eagerly awaited his return. Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima and other high-ranking members of the All Progressives Congress were also present to welcome Tinubu.

Tinubu embarked on his international trip on March 21, spending time in Paris and London. According to a statement released by Tunde Rahman on behalf of the Office of the President-elect, the purpose of the trip was to allow Tinubu the opportunity to rest and prepare his transition program prior to his inauguration on May 29.
The president-elect’s return to Nigeria signals the beginning of a new chapter as the nation anticipates the inauguration of its new leadership and the implementation of policies aimed at addressing the country’s challenges and promoting growth and development.
