INEC has appointed a legal team of nine Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) to defend the results of the February 25 presidential election against over 100 petitions filed by aggrieved candidates. The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) will deliver rulings on motions filed by the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) seeking permission to inspect materials used for the previous presidential election. The rulings, which will also cover motions filed by the Labour Party (LP) and its candidate, Peter Obi, will be delivered at 2 pm on Wednesday.
