Libianca emerged victorious in the category, surpassing her Nigerian counterpart, Asake, to claim the coveted award. Other nominees included Flo and Raye from the UK, Camidoh from Ghana, Maureen and Werenoi from France, MC Ryan SP from Brazil, and Pabu Cooper from South Africa.

Libanca became the first-ever Cameroonian artist to receive such recognition at the prestigious BET Awards.

The 23rd BET Awards, held on Sunday night, June 25, celebrated outstanding accomplishments in the realms of entertainment, paying tribute to achievements in music, sports, television, and movies.

Libianca’s continual trailblazing efforts have propelled her to break new boundaries and set records. Her hit single, “People,” has attained Platinum certification in countries like Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Switzerland.
