Yesterday, there were a lot of rumors in the celebrity news because Tina Lawson, the matriarch of the famous Knowles family and the mother of Beyoncé, an international singing star, finally filed for divorce from Richard Lawson, a famous Hollywood actor.
Tina and Richard, who were married for eight years, have split up because of “irreconcilable differences,” according to court papers that TMZ was able to get. The divorce paper, which was filed on Wednesday, not only says that they are no longer married, but also asks the court not to give either of them spousal support.
Fans of Richard’s movie “Black Terror,” which just came out, noticed that Tina wasn’t there for any of the promotional events. This made them think that something was wrong in the Lawson family. This, along with the fact that Tina took Richard’s last name off of her Instagram handle and went back to her old name, Tina Knowles, gave the split reports more weight.
Tina was married to Matthew Knowles from 1980 to 2011, before she married Richard. Beyoncé and Solange, their two talented girls, were born to them. In 2011, it came out that Matthew had been cheating on his wife, and he had a child with his lover that was not his. This ended the marriage quickly.
