One of Davido’s inner circle and confidants, Israel DMW has said that singer Trevboi never signed to Davido’s record label.
Speaking further, Israel noted that Trevboi fought Davido despite the goodwill he enjoyed while being with him and this led to an end in their relationship.
LatestNaijaNews had earlier reported how the up-an coming singer, Trevboi, shot dead a club-goer in Lagos on Sunday.
On his Instagram story, Isreal stated that Trevboi was simply someone Davido decided to assist without any contractual agreement, even covering the expenses for his video shoot. However, Davido and Trevboi have since parted ways.
Isreal also revealed that Trevboi had the audacity to insult Davido as a way of repaying his kindness.
“Trev was never Oga’s signee. He was just somebody whom Oga freely assisted by participating in his song. Oga even sponsored his video shoot. Oga had already ended his association with him when he had the nerve to insult Oga, as a form of payback for all his kindness,” Isreal wrote.
According to online reports, Trevboi allegedly shot and killed a young man at a nightclub in Fadeyi, Lagos.
A friend of the deceased, using his Twitter handle, Cloud Target, claimed that Trevboi is armed and dangerous, calling on the police to take action and ensure justice for his friend.
