In a recent turn of events, Phyna, the winner of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season seven, has stepped forward to address her ongoing feud with former housemate Chichi.
The dispute, which ignited during a heated exchange at this year’s BBNaija reunion, has escalated to a legal battle with Chichi suing Phyna for N100 million for alleged libel and defamation of character.

Phyna explained that she was infuriated because Chichi allegedly used derogatory terms to describe her appearance. “That is why I had to use the word for her that she would record in her heart and brain. Because you cannot be body-shaming me that have a natural body, I had to remind her that there is stuff,” Phyna emphasized.
The exchange took a particularly ugly turn when Chichi allegedly labeled Phyna as an “abortionist.” In response, Phyna retaliated by reminding Chichi that she had two children that she had purportedly abandoned.
Just two days after the explosive reunion, Chichi filed a lawsuit against Phyna for N100 million, citing libel and defamation of character as the grounds for the legal action. The swift escalation from a verbal feud to a legal battle took both fans and the BBNaija community by surprise.
Phyna did not take this legal threat lightly. She recounted, “I called my lawyer that if we did not reply to the lawsuit, what would happen? My lawyer said if we did not reply within 7 days, she could charge me in court. The next day I bought a suit to prepare for court. I do not like trouble but I love trouble.”
