Mohbad: Naira Marley, Sam Larry Remanded For 21 Days, Police Declare Primeboy Wanted

In a significant development surrounding the ongoing investigation into the tragic death of the late music artist, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, a Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos State, has ordered the remand of renowned musician Azeez Fashola, alias Naira Marley, and prominent Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, alias Sam Larry, to police custody.

The ruling came on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, as authorities delve deeper into the mysterious circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s untimely demise.

The Lagos State Police Command had initially requested that Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and other suspects be detained for 30 days to facilitate a comprehensive investigation into the case. However, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun decided that a 21-day remand would be sufficient for the current phase of the inquiry.

Mohbad, a rising star in the Nigerian music scene, tragically passed away on September 12, 2023, in Lagos, with his interment taking place the following day. In a statement issued by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos, it was announced: “Following his failure to honor police invitations successfully sent to him since the commencement of the investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of Mr. Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, the Lagos State Police Command hereby declares Owodunni Ibrahim, aka Primeboy, wanted.”

Ibrahim is described as approximately 1.64 meters tall, male, dark-complexioned, and of Yoruba ethnicity. He is further identified by tribal marks. His last known address is reported as 3rd Power, Oke Eletu, Ikorodu.
