Francis reportedly departed from the continuing celebrations with three companions in order to swim in the ocean. The sad incident’s chronology was laid bare by an eyewitness report. Around midday, Francis and ten other friends, including the celebrant, showed up to celebrate the birthday. When four of them went swimming in the ocean, it was because they were having so much fun on the excursion. They were no longer visible after thirty minutes. They were fighting the powerful tide when they were seen again. According to the witnesses, this caused the lifeguards in the area to react quickly.

Francis was not saved, no matter how quickly the lifeguards responded. Francis was out of reach, but three of the swimmers were rescued. According to the witness, he couldn’t swim back because he was too weak.

Despite continuing well into the evening, Francis could not be located. Managers at the beach club contacted law enforcement and enlisted the help of local divers to conduct a thorough search after the event. In addition, the eyewitness mentioned that he was not located on that particular day.

Two days subsequently, the horrible corpse of Francis was found. His lifeless body washed up on Saturday morning, according to a police source in the area. Upon discovery, the beach management was promptly notified.

The incident and the retrieval of the body were confirmed by Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police. “The story is accurate. He said that the body had been found two days later and was taken to the mortuary.

This terrible tragedy has dampened spirits in the neighborhood and serves as a sobering reminder of the risks associated with swimming in uncharted bodies of water.
