The Federal High Court in Ilorin has set the bail for Abdulfatah Ahmed, the ex-governor of Kwara State, at ₦50 million.
In addition to the monetary condition, he is required to present two guarantors who own real estate within the boundaries of Ilorin, the state’s central city.
Ahmed faced arraignment this Friday, February 23, under the auspices of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which had summoned him for an interrogation session on the preceding Monday.
Among other stipulations for his bail, Ahmed is compelled to surrender his international passport to the jurisdiction of the court.
