Olumide Akpata, the past President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), has secured the Labour Party (LP) nomination for the gubernatorial race in Edo State.
The LP’s primary, which took place in the capital of Edo State, Benin City, on Friday, saw Akpata emerge victorious.
After receiving the greatest tally of votes, he was proclaimed the primary’s winner.
With a commanding total of 316 votes, Akpata surpassed his competitors, clinching a decisive triumph.
