Popular Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has responded to an appeal from music legend KWAM 1, who called for an end to his ongoing feud with fellow artist Davido. The conflict, which began in 2023 over an alleged debt, has seen both artists exchanging accusations on social media.
Dammy Krane initially accused Davido of owing him money for songwriting services. Davido responded by calling Krane ungrateful, escalating tensions between the two. Recently, Krane further accused Davido of involvement in the death of his friend Tagbo Umeike, who died in 2017 from alleged alcohol poisoning.
KWAM 1 intervened, urging both musicians to reconcile and make peace. In reaction, Dammy Krane posted on his X account that Davido had arranged a meeting with his mother in the United States. He acknowledged KWAM 1’s influence and expressed willingness to move past the feud.
“SO, @davido set up a meeting with my mum in Yankee lol. I understand all. I’ll leave the Tagbo matter to God because of good people like family and K1 De Ultimate. But David pay for the song I wrote and royalties. PS: Evil prevails when good people refuse to talk,” Krane wrote.
Despite his willingness to let go of past grievances due to the intervention of respected figures like KWAM 1, Dammy Krane maintained his demand for payment for his songwriting contributions.
