The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has concluded his visit to the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) headquarters in Abuja. Ajaero, who arrived at the IRT office at exactly 10:17 am, departed shortly after 11:15 am, following the submission of his written statement.
Though Ajaero did not engage with journalists during his time at the IRT headquarters, he later mentioned that he would provide a statement to the press at the NLC headquarters.
The police had previously issued an invitation to Ajaero, requesting his presence at the IRT office on August 20 at 10 am. The NLC president was to answer inquiries related to alleged involvement in terrorism financing, cybercrime, subversion, criminal conspiracy, and treasonable felony. Ajaero, however, was unable to attend on the initial date but assured that he would honor the invitation today.
Ajaero was accompanied during the visit by prominent figures, including Senior Advocate of Nigeria Femi Falana, Marshal Abubakar, Deji Adeyanju, and several senior NLC officials.
