Nigerian actress and comedian Wofai Fada has announced the birth of her first child, a baby girl named Ifedayo Konaghai Cole, with her husband, Taiwo Cole. The actress shared the joyous news on Instagram on Saturday, expressing gratitude to God for the “precious gift.”
“We are forever grateful to God for this precious gift. Our princess is here. My joy is complete,” Fada wrote, alongside pictures of the newborn.

The announcement attracted an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans and celebrities alike. Nollywood actress Nancy Isime and media mogul Mo Abudu were among the first to celebrate with Fada.
Mo Abudu commented, “Congratulations, my darling. She is beautiful,” while Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala and actor IK Ogbonna joined with heart emojis.
A fan, Rachael Okangbe, shared her excitement, commenting, “When I saw a missed call from you, I felt maybe she has put to bed. God is awesome. Big congrats, super mum.”

The couple’s journey has not been without its challenges. In May 2024, videos from their traditional wedding in Calabar, Cross River, sparked public attention, particularly after Taiwo’s family publicly disapproved of the union.
On October 27, 2024, the couple proceeded with a legal wedding at the Ikoyi Registry in Lagos State, marking a significant milestone in their relationship. Sharing the news with her 1.2 million Instagram followers, Fada captioned the post, “Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favourite. Legally hitched. @taiwo.cole.7 #TWOforever. #MrsCole.”
However, shortly after the registry wedding, the Cole family issued a public statement denouncing the marriage. The family patriarch, Kunle Cole, stated:
“This serves to notify all acquaintances, family, and friends that the Cole family of Victoria Island, Lagos, is not aware of any marriage ceremony involving our son, Taiwo Olakitan Cole; nor did we grant permission or support in this regard.”
The family further declared that anyone claiming to be a member of the Cole family through the union was not recognized.
