Lawyer and model clinches prestigious title at star-studded Lagos event
Doris Ogah, a lawyer and model from Nigeria’s south-south region, has been crowned Miss Nigeria 2024. She emerged victorious in the 45th edition of the prestigious beauty pageant, defeating four other finalists—Ann Eneanya, Bukunmi Ogunsanya, Diane Paul, and Divine Nelson.
The 44th Miss Nigeria, Shatu Garko, passed the crown to Ogah during the grand finale held in Lagos. The pageant featured 20 semi-finalists who were unveiled earlier in the week, culminating in a dazzling display of elegance and talent.
In an emotional post on Instagram, Ogah expressed her gratitude and vision for her reign. “It’s been a lifelong dream to be given the opportunity to serve as an example to inspire and empower countless women and girls around the world,” she wrote.
The event was further enlivened by electrifying performances from Nigerian music stars KCee and Yemi Alade, who thrilled the audience with their hit songs.
