The Lagos State Government will hold its 2026 public service examinations from May 12 to May 19 at the State Public Service Staff Development Centre in Magodo.
The Lagos State Examinations Board released the timetable and guidelines on Tuesday following a circular from the Head of Service dated January 21. The exercise will test all cadres in the state public service and include separate exams for Clerical Officers II, Clerical Assistants, and external secretarial positions.
Candidates must print their examination slips starting May 5 using their registration details on the official portal. Each slip will show the candidate's assigned date and time. The board said all candidates must present valid identification at the centre, including Staff Identity Cards, National Identification Number slips, or Lagos State Residents Registration Agency cards.
The examinations will use a Computer-Based Test format, so the board advised candidates to develop basic computer skills before the exam. Candidates must bring printed copies of their slips and arrive at their assigned times. The board warned that formal dressing is mandatory and candidates in inappropriate clothing will not be allowed into the examination centre.
The Lagos State Examinations Board said candidates who fail to comply with the guidelines risk disrupting the examination process. It urged full compliance with all instructions to ensure the exercise runs smoothly and in an orderly manner.
