Man United in advanced talks to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson

Manchester United are close to signing Atalanta midfielder Ederson, with both clubs in advanced negotiations over a deal worth between €45 million and €50 million, roughly ₦37 billion to ₦41 billion. The Brazilian midfielder is pushing for the move and United are offering him a five-year contract.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have reached agreements on most terms. What remains is Manchester United's final decision on whether to complete the transfer. Ederson, 26, has made it clear he wants to leave Atalanta, and the Italian club appears willing to let him go.

Atalanta manager Raffaele Palladino confirmed the negotiations are concrete when he left Ederson out of his team's Serie A match against Fiorentina on Friday. "Éderson didn't play today because there are concrete negotiations with a top club," Palladino said after the game. The decision to bench the midfielder sent a signal that both clubs were actively discussing terms.

Ederson has been a key player for Atalanta, but the chance to join one of Europe's biggest clubs appears too good to pass up. Manchester United have been searching for midfield reinforcement, and the Brazilian fits their profile as a young, talented midfielder who can develop further at Old Trafford. The club's hierarchy now faces the decision of whether to push the deal over the line or pursue other targets.
