Manchester City won’t surrender title fight, Cherki warns Arsenal

Rayan Cherki has told Arsenal to expect Manchester City to fight until the final whistle in the Premier League title race, despite sitting five points behind with five matches left to play.

City have a packed schedule ahead, starting with Brentford's visit to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. The defending champions also have the FA Cup final still to come before the season ends.

Cherki's warning comes as Arsenal hold a slender advantage at the top of the table. City's remaining fixtures give Pep Guardiola's side a chance to make up ground, though the gap has grown considerably from earlier in the campaign when the two clubs were much closer.

The midfielder's message reflects City's historical ability to mount comebacks and their determination to retain the Premier League crown they have held for three consecutive seasons. With quality opponents still to face and the FA Cup final to navigate, City know they must win almost every game to have a realistic chance of reclaiming the title.
