Sarah Idoko, a final-year student at the Federal University Lokoja, was found dead along the Lokoja-Abuja Highway on Saturday night. Her body was discovered near the Crusher area along the Felele axis after she was allegedly dumped there.
The Kogi State Police Command released her identity following the discovery. The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, with investigators working to determine what led to her body being left on the busy highway connecting the state capital to the federal capital.
The discovery has renewed concerns about safety on major routes in Kogi State, particularly for young people travelling between educational institutions and their homes. The highway is frequently used by students and commuters, but reports of incidents along the stretch have raised alarm among residents.
