Nigerian music journalist, Joey Akan has taken to Twitter to announce Wizkid as the Nigerian artiste of the decade.
According to him, the musician has been consistent in his craft and no other artist comes close to him.
Wizkid is however highly respected in the music industry and his fan base is part of the biggest in the country.
In his words;
“The Nigerian artist of the decade is WIZKID. Nobody comes close to him. No one has carried our music the way he has for so long, while consistently staying at the top and keeping his finger on all the changes to our sound, and evolving to meet those needs at the highest level.”
