President Donald Trump seems to relish in controversy as he called out 16-year old climate crisis activist, Greta Thunberg on Thursday.
The young activist was named the Time magazine person of the year and this seems not to sit well with the embattled United States President.
Reacting to a congratulatory message to Greta on twitter, Trump said:
So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!

Trump’s reaction has been expected by some political analysts who feel the US president really ‘needed’ the award at this point.
Earlier this year, Greta Thunberg spoke to the United Nations General Assembly, scolding the assembled leaders in blunt terms about their inaction on climate and what it would cost them — and her.

“People are suffering, people are dying, entire ecosystems are collapsing,” Thunberg told the UN audience. “We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth.”
Trump later offered a sarcastic review of her speech via Twitter saying:
She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!”
Thunberg, 16, is the youngest individual to be recognized.
“Thunberg has become the biggest voice on the biggest issue facing the planet—and the avatar of a broader generational shift in our culture that is playing out everywhere from the campuses of Hong Kong to the halls of Congress in Washington,” Time editor-in-chief Edward Felsenthal wrote.
