A student of Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH, drowned hours after his matriculation.

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Monday in the swimming pool of a hotel located at Akai Efa, Calabar, where the students had gone for their matriculation party.
According to sources, he was newly admitted as a Urban and Regional Planning student of the Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH and after he finished his matric he then went to a hostel located at Akai Efa in Calabar where he drowned.
