Slain rapper Pop Smoke has been laid to rest 2 weeks after his death.
Fans, friends, and the family of the late hip hop star gathered in his hometown of Canarsie in Brooklyn to pay their last respects to him on Thursday, March 5, 2020.
His corpse was put in a casket pulled by a horse-drawn carriage through the streets and followed by a fleet of luxury vehicles. The carriage was encased in glass windows and white curtains to give those present a view of the casket.
After the affair came to a close, the carriage was returned without the casket.
Pop Smoke was 20 at the time of his death and investigation is still ongoing to reveal more about the circumstances surrounding his untimely exit.
The police previously stated that at least six persons were involved in a break-in that occurred at the home. No further updates have been released.
Fellow rapper 50 Cent recently pledged to executive produce and finish Pop Smoke’s album and has asked other artists like Chris Brown and Post Malone to help the late star’s dream a reality.
