American professional basketball player Donovan Mitchell says that he doesn’t feel any symptoms of the coronavirus days after testing positive, hinting at the possibility of returning to the court in no time.
Mitchell tested positive for COVID-19 after his teammate Rudy Gobert was announced to have contracted the illness. The NBA season was subsequently put on hold after the revelation.
Giving a brief update on his health status, Mitchell says he feels like he could play in a seven-game series, and also stated that he was happy that his other teammates weren’t affected.
The sportsman also detailed his experiences in the past few days in isolation with Good Morning America, where he said he felt healthy.
“Got no fever, no symptoms as of right now and just blessed to be okay. Right now, the biggest thing for me is to just stay in isolation and just keep to myself.
I keep making the joke when people keep asking me that if you were to tell me that I would play in a 7-game series tomorrow, I’d be ready to lace up.”
