COVID-19: Nigerians Knock Bishop Oyedepo For Launching A Short Code For Offering

Some Nigerians have lambasted the General Overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo for recently launching a Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) code to collect monies in different categories from his members.

This move by the church follows the recent restriction on religious gatherings by the Federal and state governments over the global pandemic of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Bittertruth Media recalls that Winners Chapel had reportedly disobeyed the government’s ban and held church services with crowded members against the social distancing order of the government.

The short code, Bittertruth Media gathered serves as means of collecting offerings, tithes, Shiloh offerings, transportation seeds, Thanksgiving etc.

This replaces the normal monies collected during the now banned Sunday church services by Winners Chapel.
