COVID-19: Actress Rita Wilson Shares Her Experience After Recovery
Rita Wilson shares her COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Recovery experience

Rita Wilson has opened up about her experience with the COVID-19 infection since she and husband Tom Hanks recovered from the infection.

Wilson talked about what she went through on ‘CBS This Morning’ on Tuesday, April 14, 2020.

While talking to Gayle King, she said that she noticed the symptoms when she was very tired. She ached all over, was uncomfortable and didn’t want to be touched. Then the fever started, and that was when she got chills, the like of which she had never experienced before. According to her, her temperature got to 102.

She was given chloroquine (the drug that President Donald Trump and some others say is effective in COVID-19 treatment)

“I can only tell you that I don’t know if the drug worked or if it was just time for the fever to break. The fever did break, but the chloroquine had such extreme side effects I was completely nauseous and I had vertigo and my muscles felt very weak. I think people have to be very considerate about that drug. we don’t really know if it is helpful in this case.”

Wilson revealed that her husband had milder symptoms and did not experience high fever like she did, did not lose his sense of smell or taste.

She also stated that they believed that they were now immune and they have been a part of a study where they donated blood. The people involved were waiting to hear back to see off their antibodies would be helpful in the creation of a vaccine.
