SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and his partner, singer Grimes, have revealed that they have changed the name of their son.
Musk’s son’s name, X Æ A-12 had made headlines, prompting many to wonder how the name could be pronounced, and the parents had said that ten name had been inspired by their love of an aircraft.
Grimes disclosed that they had made a change to their son’s name on Sunday, May 25, 2020, and a fan replied to her post with the question: “Did you change the baby’s name because of Californian laws? What is the baby’s new name?”
The singer had replied, sharing that her son’s name is now X Æ A-Xii. While replying another person, Grimes said that one dash is allowed in California law.
She added, “Roman numerals. Looks better tbh.”
When Musk and Grimes had first announced the name of their newborn son, fans had pointed out that the name wouldn’t be accepted on the baby’s official birth certificate as valid by the state of California since symbols, numbers or Roman numerals aren’t allowed on birth certificates.
With the slight change in the name, it should be accepted by the state.
