Tech giant Xiaomi has contributed to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria by making a donation of thousands of surgical masks to Ogun State.
According to reports, the donation is to support the Nigerian government in its continued battle to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first batch of surgical nose masks was received by the Ogun State government by Her Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Alhaja Noimot Salako-Oyedele in a bid to protect the frontline health personnel at the forefront of the virus in the nation.
The donation follows Xiaomi’s move of already giving out medical supplies (including over a million masks), thermometers, protective gear, and ventilators to various markets in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, the U.K., Belgium, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Brazil, Turkey, South Korea, and Japan.
