A gas explosion has rocked the Aba Road, Sabon Gari, Kano State, with a yet-to-be ascertained number of people killed, however, verified sources mentioned that scores were injured.
The incident was said to have occurred at a private school in the area.

The Kano state police command has debunked the spreading news that it was a bomb explosion.
The unfortunate incident in Kano was a gas explosion not a bomb blast, the Kano State Police Commissioner has confirmed.
