The Spokesperson of the Yemi Osinbajo campaign organisation, Richard Akinola, has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his victory at the ongoing presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress.
Although Tinubu is yet to be declared officially the winner of the contest, OduNews can confirm that the former Lagos state governor, is leading the contest with a wide margin.
In a Facebook post, Akinola said he has no regret in supporting Osinbajo in his push to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to Akinola: “Congratulations, Asiwaju Tinubu, the presumed winner of the primaries. In any contest, there must be a winner.
“However, I’m very proud of my choice of support in the person of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
“I have no iota of regret over my support for him. It was a privilege to play a pivotal role for him during the process. I would gladly do it over and over again. It’s a matter of conviction.”
APC delegates had cast their ballots yesterday at the Eagles Square, the venue of the APC presidential primary.
Following the successful completion of the voting process, the organizers of the APC Special Convention have commenced the counting of the votes.
