The Abuja Police Command has given a positive update on locating the whereabouts of some residents who were reportedly kidnapped on Tuesday.
The Police disclosed that discoveries surrounding the case are “looking promising”
OduNews had earlier reported how a tweeter user, Ameerah Sufiyan, raised an alarm via her page that she was being kidnapped at gunpoint by armed men in police uniforms.
Ameerah disclosed the captives include three pregnant women and two children, all taken from different parts of Abuja.
Her tweet and the location she shared brought the incident to light, with Nigerians demanding their immediate rescue.
On Wednesday afternoon, the FCT command provided an update on the incident.
“The investigative & tactical apparatus on the case remains as discoveries are looking promising.
“Contact is maintained with her family to speed up the investigation”, it reads.
