The Central Bank of Nigeria has announced the appointment of Dr. Isa Abdulmumin as the Acting Director of the Corporate Communications Department. This follows the retirement of Osita Nwanisobi, who served as the Director of Corporate Communications since 2021.
Dr. Abdulmumin brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as the Deputy Director of the department. His appointment is a testament to his dedication and exemplary performance within the organization.
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s decision to appoint Dr. Abdulmumin is in line with its commitment to ensuring continuity and the effective management of its operations. The Bank appreciates the invaluable contributions of Mr. Nwanisobi to the Corporate Communications Department during his tenure.
Mr. Nwanisobi was appointed as the Director of Corporate Communications Department in September 2021, having acted in that capacity from October 2020. Prior to his appointment, he had served as a Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor of the Bank on Financial System Stability from 2009 to 2011, and also as a Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor of Corporate Services from 2001 to 2009.
The Central Bank of Nigeria thanks Mr. Nwanisobi for his service and wishes him a fulfilling retirement. The Bank looks forward to Dr. Abdulmumin’s leadership in the Corporate Communications Department, as he works with his team to enhance the Bank’s communications and stakeholder engagement strategies.
