In a surprising turn of events, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State terminated the appointment of Mr. Anthony Ogah, his Special Adviser on Stakeholders Relations.

The decision was communicated in an official statement released by Mrs. Folashade Arike-Ayoade, the Secretary to the Government of Kogi, on Monday.

According to the statement, Governor Bello issued a directive for the immediate dismissal of Mr. Ogah from his position. This termination came into effect on September 24.

The statement did not provide any specific reasons for Mr. Ogah’s dismissal, leaving the public in anticipation of possible underlying factors.

”Gov. Bello has issued a directive for the immediate dismissal of Ogah, who served as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Stakeholders Relations, the statement read.

“The termination of Ogah as the special adviser to the governor is effective from Sept. 24. Gov Bello extends his best wishes to Ogah in his future endeavors.”

As part of the dismissal process, Anthony Ogah has been instructed to promptly surrender his government identity card and any other government property or documents in his possession. These items are to be handed over to the Permanent Secretary, Administration, in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State.

The sudden dismissal of a high-ranking government official like Mr. Ogah has raised questions and sparked curiosity among political observers and the general public.
