Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, believes the team still has a strong chance of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The West Africans are now facing a challenging path to qualification after a 1-1 draw with South Africa in Uyo on Friday.
Finidi George’s squad currently sits in fifth place in Group C, with three points from three games.
“The group is still wide open, we still have a chance (to qualify),” Ndidi commented after the match.
He also mentioned that the team is now focused on their upcoming match against Benin in Abidjan on Monday.
“We hope to get something in the second game,” he assured.
