JAMB fixes June 13 for 2026 UTME mop-up examination

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has scheduled Saturday, June 13, 2026 for candidates who missed the main UTME to sit the examination. The mop-up exercise is for all candidates who were biometrically verified for the 2026 UTME but could not sit the exam for any reason.

JAMB spokesman Fabian Benjamin announced the date in Abuja on Monday. The main UTME ran from April 23 to 29, 2026, but multiple issues prevented some candidates from taking the test.

During the main examination, some centres experienced technical problems that stopped candidates from sitting the exam. Others had their results withdrawn due to examination infractions, while some candidates who showed up could not be biometrically verified. All these candidates have now been listed for the mop-up exercise.

According to JAMB, the mop-up examination represents the final phase of the 2026 UTME exercise. The board said the exercise serves as a final opportunity to address all outstanding examination challenges involving candidates who presented themselves but faced difficulties.

Affected candidates can begin printing their Examination Notification Slips from Saturday, June 6, 2026. JAMB urged them to print the slips, familiarise themselves with their examination centres, and make all necessary arrangements before the examination date.

The board emphasised that there will be no further opportunity for any candidate to sit the 2026 UTME after this mop-up exercise. Once June 13 passes, the entire annual UTME process concludes.
