Known globally for playing Steve Rogers/Captain America in the MCU, Chris Evans looked back at his career in the latest episode of THR‘s Awards Chatter podcast with Scott Feinberg.

Opening up on how long it took for him to be taken seriously as an actor, Evans said a lot of people considered his movies to be bad.

He said:

There was a period of time when you start thinking, Man, I can’t make a good movie. I don’t know what it is… I wonder how many chances I’m gonna get at this.”

Joking that nobody sees his good movies, the actor revealed that he started having panic attacks in 2010 when filming for Puncture commenced.

It was the first time I started having mini panic attacks on set. I really started to think, I’m not sure if this acting is the right thing for me. I’m not sure I’m feeling as healthy as I should be feeling.”
