‘Ada The Country’ Stage Musical Coming To Lagos In 2020

Doyenne Circle is bringing Ada The Country, a stage musical, to the MUSON center in Lagos on the 2^nd of January, 2020.

Produced and directed by award-winning producer and actor Kemi Lala Akindoju, the stage production highlights the power of Nigerian women, bringing to the fore what they are capable of achieving when they unite.

It is written by award-winning writer, poet, and performer, Titilope Sonuga, and is the first all-woman cast and crew musical in Nigeria.

Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw plays the lead character Ada, a woman who loses her 9-month-old baby in a fire, barely making it out alive. She leans on women from different generations as they have all experienced similar tragic events in their lives. Together, they lead Ada down the road to restoration.

Other members of the cast include Patience Ozokwor, Joke Silva, Bimbo Akintola, Chigul, Lala Akindoju, Ade Laoye, Oludare Egerton-Shyngle, and Oluchi Odii.
