As fans await the arrival of its second season, The Witcher actor Henry Cavill has shared some news of pre-production.
Before its premiere on Netflix, The Witcher was hyped as the next big show to take over from HBO’s Game of Thrones. With its lead actor Henry Cavill, audiences looked forward to seeing the fantasy series make a statement.
Well, it came and thankfully was worth the hype. With its non-linear plot as its only major complaint, The Witcher season 1 became an instant sensation with fans and Cavill’s portrayal as the monster-hunting Geralt of Rivia has also been generally well-received.
Even before the premiere of the first season, Netflix had already renewed it for a second and headliner Cavill has taken to his Instagram account to share with fans updates on news about the second season.
In a video, the actor announced that pre-production would be starting shortly and thanked everyone who loved the first season. He then promised regular updates from time to time.
Hello everybody, I’m back. I have been enjoying my Christmas break, perhaps a little too much at some points, but now it is back to work. Pre-production will be starting very shortly on Witcher season 2. I see that you’ve all enjoyed Witcher season one, thank you very much for that, and I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’ll be giving you updates on here as time goes on.Henry Cavill
