Explosion Razes Down Over 100 Houses, Churches & Schools In Akure, Ondo State

AN explosion has razed down over 100 buildings including schools, churches and homes in , the state capital of , South-West Nigeria.

The incident which appears as a bomb blast occurred in the wee hours of Saturday morning along the busy Akure-Owo road leaving many people injured.

The explosion which happened less than a kilometre to Akure Airport, affected many residents of Eleyowo community, destroying completely a church and a school in the area.

OduNews.com learnt that many people who lived within the church premises were injured while others were rescued by the people of the community. The school with boarding facilities was destroyed beyond repair with roofs of all the buildings blown off.
