Kano Gov. Confirms Fourth Coronavirus Case, Imposes Total Lockdown For Seven Days

The Kano State Government has confirmed the fourth case of in the state.

This has prompted the state government to impose a total of the state.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s Media Aide, Salihu Yakasai, confirmed this on his Twitter handle Tuesday evening.

He wrote: “The Kano State Ministry of Health @KNSMOH has confirmed one new positive case of in Kano State, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to four.

”As at 6:00 pm, 1 additional case of #COVID19 has been confirmed in the state.”

Announcing the total lockdown in the state, Salihu Tanko, a media aide to Governor Ganduje, stated that there would be no movement in the state for seven days.

Yakasai also said the security agencies have been ordered to arrest anyone violating the order.

“H.E @GovUmarGanduje has ordered for a complete lockdown of Kano State from Thursday 16th of April, and the lockdown is expected to last for initial 7days,” he tweeted.

“There will be no movement in the State and the security agencies have been ordered to arrest anyone violating this order.”
