She made the claim while speaking on Arise News ‘Morning Show’ programme on Monday.

When asked by one of the hosts on her reason for slapping the former Akwa Ibom Governor, she said it was because of his ‘plan B’. The ‘Plan B’ according to her is an attempt by Akpabio to intimidate her.

She said:  “I’m the only Ogoni woman – the only Nigerian woman- that has slapped his (Akpabio) face.

“I slapped him because of his plan B, he thought that…since he couldn’t get me to take that money, he thought that ‘plan B’ if it could come up on me, he didn’t know that I’m a Port Harcourt girl.

“Port Harcourt Girls are not moved by money, by somebody telling me that he would make me a substantive MD.

When asked to clarify the ‘plan B’, she said “we were having a meeting; Akpabio’s meeting with me is either in ‘Akun’ or at ‘Marydian’ or whatever…those are his meetings… I slapped him.

Asked on whether she was accusing Senator Akpabio of attempted rape or sexual harassment, she said, harassment ‘sounds better’ after which she said: “Yes, I am accusing him”.

The former NDDC MD and the Niger Delta Minister Godswill Akpabio have been embroiled in a war of words lately.

Mrs Nunieh accused Akpabio of engaging in numerous corrupt practices and suspended her as NDDC MD because she refused to partake in Akpabio’s numerous ‘fraud’.

The Minister, however, kicked back by claiming that the former NDDC head is ‘temperamental’ and attacked her by making reference to her ‘four former husbands’ who can attest to her ‘character’.
