A cross-section of Nigerians have taken to twitter to share their thoughts on the approval of N37bn by President Muhammadu Buhari for the renovation of the National Assembly complex in Abuja.
Odunews.com had earlier reported that N37 billion was approved for the renovation of the National Assembly.
The sum approved for the renovation has been criticised by most Nigerians as being too exorbitant as it was built with N7 billion.
Below are some reactions:
N37billion to renovate the National Assembly that was built for N7billion
Also 1billion to be used for constitution amendment ?

N37b to supposedly renovate the National Assembly is another thing Nigerians can work together to fight. Those guys are unitedly raping you, this isn’t time to check whether you refer a broom or an umbrella, they prefer your future and they are eating it up without remorse!

Let me burst your heads.
What I am about to say will filter through in a few days…
National Assembly plan on RENOVATING its complex with about N37billion..
It cost FG just about N9billion to BUILD.
Is the National Assembly as a body necessary? https://t.co/8K0qnDwEVj

Pls. What is there to renovate in the National assembly??
Go to Public Hospitals you'll see patients being sent back because there's no bed space.
Go to Public Schools some studying under the tree or those in the classroom sitting on the floor.
What Nonsense is this??? ?

Happy birthday baba
Am shocked about this
37 Billion Naira to RENOVATE our NATIONAL ASSEMBLY.
1 Billion Naira for CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT.
Abeg…How much is it to build a new National Assembly?
How much is the entire National Assembly?
Am in severe pains pic.twitter.com/ZUXyHXylET

N37bn used to renovate National Assembly… N1BN to be used for constitution amendment.
This is more money than the money budgeted for Education in the 2019 budget.
I ask again, do we really need this rubber-stamp National Assembly?
